Khmer Maine / MAPIDA

Marpheen Chann and Ophelia Hu Kinnney, members of Khmer Maine and Maine Chinese-American Friendship Society respectively, recently led an effort to secure funding for a physical and virtual Maine Pacific Islander Desi American Community Center through the Gold Futures Challenge grant. As part of that process, we interviewed Marpheen and Ophelia at the Helix studio and created a video for their application highlighting the sometimes overlooked contributions of Asian Mainers.
